00:00And let's hook up with our boy again to talk some more college football.

00:04Scotty, we have crowned a national champion in college football at long last.

00:08Just an exciting postseason in college football.

00:11It's going to be seven months before we could talk about games.

00:14But I can assure you tons to talk about in the offseason from NIL, Transfer Portal,

00:21Spring Football, NFL Draft.

00:22We got a ton to talk about. Quick recap of the postseason, though.

00:26I know there were a lot of detractors, Scott.

00:28I love the playoffs opening round.

00:31We got a chance to see on campus playoff games.

00:33First time ever in the FBS quarterfinals.

00:37Epic game down in Atlanta between Arizona State and Texas.

00:41Instant classic won in overtime by the Longhorns.

00:45Two great semifinal games.

00:47And then the national championship Monday night.

00:49Overall, I thought it was an outstanding postseason.

00:52I think the 12 team playoff is a revelation for the sport.

00:56Can it get better? Absolutely.

00:57I think first step will be let's change how we seed top four seeds, automatic buys.

01:03Let's give it to the top four teams as opposed to just the top four conference champs.

01:07I know that's in discussion already.

01:09I'd like to see that next year.

01:10Now, some of the performances that really impressed me in this bowl season,

01:15I look at the bowls very differently.

01:17I want to see, you know, who's getting a jump start on 2025.

01:21Who made the most of their opportunities?

01:23I think that's one of the really interesting themes of the bowls.

01:26I got three kids for you.

01:27First off, Dazmine James, wide receiver from Arkansas.

01:3112 snaps all season.

01:33Gets an opportunity in the bowl game.

01:35Three catches, 137 yards and a touchdown.

01:37Most outstanding player for the Razorbacks in that game.

01:41And what's happening is these kids, the younger ones in particular,

01:44are using these bowl games as auditions.

01:47So Cal swoops in, makes him an offer.

01:50Now, Dazmine James is going to have more reps next year in Berkeley.

01:54Number two, Dylan Edwards, Kansas State.

01:56D.J. Giddens, he's the workhorse for Kansas State.

01:59Over 1,000 yards this year.

02:01Ops out of the bowl game.

02:03Dylan Edwards gets a shot.

02:04What does he do?

02:05Bowl record for Kansas State, 196 yards on the ground.

02:09Three touchdowns leads K-State to a comeback win over Rutgers.

02:14But for me, the biggest story in terms of individual players,

02:18remember the name, Damond Williams, Washington quarterback, true freshman,

02:22just his second all-time start.

02:24Yeah, the Huskies lost the Sun Bowl to Louisville, 35-34.

02:28But Williams threw for almost 400 yards, had four touchdowns, was phenomenal.

02:34Five-star quarterback, a kid from Arizona, Jed Fish knows quarterbacks.

02:39What I see, Scott, is a young Kyler Murray, undersized, extremely athletic.

02:44Watch the Washington Huskies next year with Damond Williams under center.

02:48I think that's going to be a very exciting offense.

02:51So great bowl season, but a lot to talk about moving forward in the offseason.
