00:00Hey, Scotty, we're down to one final game in college football for 2024-25.

00:05A bit of a tear in my eye.

00:06I mean, we're going to be in a drought for about seven, seven and a half months

00:10before we talk about actual games.

00:12Lots of cover in the offseason.

00:13But first, National Championship Monday night in Atlanta, ND, Ohio State.

00:19There's a lot I like about this game.

00:20Just from a personal standpoint, it's got a throwback feel to it.

00:24Rust belt teams, traditional powerhouses.

00:28I love the fact that this game comes down to defense, in-game coaching.

00:34Quarterbacks are good, gritty, but they're not going to be future

00:37first-second rounders, maybe third-day picks for Riley Leonard and Will Howard.

00:42So I love this matchup, but let's go over the game itself.

00:46Ohio State minus eight and a half.

00:48I like the Buckeyes.

00:49Now, I think it's going to be a close game.

00:51I think it'll be competitive.

00:52I think this will be a rock fight similar to Friday night's Cotton Bowl

00:56between Ohio State and Texas.

00:57Not a ton of points in this game.

01:00Two outstanding defenses, extremely well-coached.

01:04But worst unit on the field Monday night will be the Notre Dame offense.

01:09I've talked about this in the past.

01:11I have concerns about the passing game with Riley Leonard,

01:14the lack of perimeter playmakers.

01:16Jeremiah Love, Scott, their best offensive weapon, still not 100%.

01:21Saw that last week against Penn State.

01:23So I don't know how ND scores consistently.

01:27Maybe it'll take the defense.

01:29Maybe it'll be special teams like they had against Georgia when Jaden Harrison

01:34took a third-quarter kickoff back for a touchdown.

01:37It's going to take that.

01:38I don't expect to see extended drives.

01:41So ND struggling to score.

01:43Don't expect to see a lot of points from Ohio State.

01:46In fact, I think this will look a lot like the Ohio State-Texas game,

01:49somewhere in the neighborhood of 24-14, 27-17 close.

01:55Ohio State pulls away late.

01:57I like the Buckeyes laying 8 1⁄2.

02:00But again, I think you'll have to sweat it out in the second half.

02:03Now, some prop bets I like.

02:06Jeremiah Smith, phenomenal freshman.

02:08I'm taking him under 81 1⁄2 yards.

02:11We saw what happens to the Ohio State offense when defenses bracket.

02:16Jeremiah Smith.

02:17Will Howard just didn't look comfortable against Texas.

02:20ND's got the best pass efficiency defense in the country.

02:24I think Jeremiah stays under 81 1⁄2.

02:27Let's get real proppy here.

02:29I love ND getting a point and a half in the third quarter.

02:32This year, halftime adjustments.

02:34Great coaching staff.

02:36This year, 12-0-3 in the third quarter.

02:39They have not lost the third quarter all season.

02:42Give me the Irish plus a point and a half to come out of the halftime break

02:47and beat Ohio State in the third quarter.

02:49Ohio State wins a national championship.

02:52Ryan Day gets redemption.

02:54But listen, great season for the Irish.

02:57I think it'll be fun Monday night.
