00:00Here is Riley Leonard talking about how Notre Dame and Ohio State found their way to the National Championship game.

00:07Before I answer your question, I want to thank my Lord and Savior, Jesus Christ, for giving me the opportunity to play in this game.

00:14I wrote on my hand Proverbs 27, 17. As iron sharpens irons, so should one man sharpen another.

00:22And I think, like I said throughout the week,

00:26What is happening here?

00:28Us and Ohio State were the two teams who praised Jesus Christ the most.

00:32I think that we strengthened each other in our faiths through coming to this game and competing against each other.

00:40Yeah, that's why they were there. He just said it, Riley Leonard.

00:46That's how they got to the National Championship game.

00:48To me, you know what the higher power is?

00:52Jeremiah Smith, the money, he's going to make it to the NFL as the number one draft pick in the entire draft.

00:59And Jesus ain't got nothing to do with that, believe me.

01:02And I told you, he's really busy right now.

01:05My guess, you know, with the transition of power in Washington, with the end of the war in Gaza.

01:13I mean, there's so much going on, Mike, you know, with the world.

01:18That God and Jesus have time to break away and get involved in a college football game to me is just remarkable.

01:25I just can't even believe it.

01:27You know, it's the funny thing, you know, whenever I go to mass and I used to go every week until, you know,

01:33I gave up on the priest and the diocese because they're so corrupt and they love boys asses.

01:39I just think that at some level, why is it that whenever I'm at church, they never talk about sports and gambling?

01:48Why is it that God is never brought up in church?

01:52They've never once talked about sports at church at mass.

01:57It's inexplicable to me.

01:59I can't figure it out because every time I watch a sporting event now, it turns into church.

02:03It turns into God is rooting for us and not the other team.

02:07Why is it when I go to mass, they never talk about sports?

02:10They talk about salmon and flip flops.

02:19Ohio State finished number one in the final AP top 25.

02:23Like, why do they even do a final AP top 25?

02:27Like, there's a tournament.

02:29There's 12 teams that win.

02:31Like, who cares?

02:33Ohio State, Notre Dame, Oregon, Texas, and Penn State rounded out the top five teams.

02:38Imagine that.

02:39Ohio State beat Oregon, Texas, Notre Dame, and Tennessee by an average margin of 18 points in the college football playoff.

02:48Smashed everybody.

02:50Really, the only team that had a legit shot was Texas.

02:53That was the only team.

02:54So, Notre Dame lost by 11.

02:56Indiana lost to Notre Dame by 10.

02:59And everyone said, you know, Indiana shouldn't be in the playoff.

03:03And the bottom line was, when it was all said and done, all the big powers got beat by an average of 18 points.

03:11And little old Indiana lost by 10.

03:14Indiana's only two losses this year were to the two teams that played in the championship.

03:19Notre Dame and Ohio State.

03:21That was it.

03:22That was all that Indiana lost to this year.

03:24So, they got that to hang their hat on.

03:26First time the Big Ten wins back-to-back college football national titles since 1940 to 1942.

03:35So, the Big Ten.

03:37Back in the mix.

03:38In the middle of World War II.

03:42Hitler trying to take over the world.

03:45The Big Ten won back-to-back titles.
