We've got several storms to be tracking several which will include an impact of
00:04
the southeast. The first one impacting the southeast with areas of soaking rain
00:07
and thunderstorms in the northeast, some areas of rain, but also some snow
00:11
showers in the interior. The second storm starts to move in Sunday into Sunday
00:15
night bringing the return of some snow from the mid-atlantic, possibly even up
00:18
the I-95 corridor to send some slick travel to start the week or through
00:22
travel through the holiday weekend. And storm number three, is there a potential
00:26
for some highly disruptive snow and ice in the southern tier of the country?
00:29
As we head through next week. We'll start with the first here, that's gonna
00:33
set a coating to maybe an inch or so of snow, higher amounts in the higher
00:37
elevations, but enough to cause some slippery travel. Travel could be
00:41
impacted with thunderstorms and soaking rain across the southeast with this
00:44
storm Friday night into Saturday evening. Then Sunday into Sunday night and then
00:48
eventually Monday morning, the next storm starts to slide farther north with
00:51
enough cold air in place for some more snow to be returning. And then the cold
00:55
sticks around, so that's not gonna be melting all that much. Highs 15 to 25
00:59
degrees below the historical average for a huge chunk of the country. And with
01:03
this much cold air around, there's yet another potential for some snow and ice
01:07
to return from Texas across parts of the Gulf Coast here. We'll leave it the
01:12
70 forecast in New York City after rain and a bit of snow were much colder by
01:17
next week.
