00:31Gerard Meyer was never a coordinator and people kind of brush past that a little bit.

00:35Then he took over and you're like, man, this guy was really only in charge of inside linebackers

00:40and now all of a sudden he's in charge of the entire thing.

00:41And he ran a few meetings during the week.

00:43He never called plays.

00:44Nope.

00:45So like, he didn't have like one thing to really hang his hat on as a great skill set.

00:49Whereas Ben Johnson has been, he's still young, right?

00:53He's I think 38 or whatever.

00:55He's right around the same age as Meyer.

00:57But this is his third year as being full on offensive coordinator of the Detroit lions.

01:02And everyone's like, oh, he's got great players.

01:05Well, he wasn't the OC Dan Campbell's first year where they went three and 13.

01:11They had Gerard Goff.

01:13They had Amon Ross St. Brown.

01:15They had some of the other guys that were on the old line.

01:17They were the 25th offense.

01:19Ben Johnson takes over the next year where they have Gerard Goff, Amon Ross St. Brown,

01:24and a lot of the same guys, fifth ranked offense, fifth ranked offense, this year,

01:29best offense.

01:30It was a slow start, but meaning his first year in Detroit, but they waited that ship

01:33by the end of the year.

01:34They were awesome a year ago.

01:35Now they, I believe for the first time in franchise history are the one seed in the

01:40NFC and they won 15 games.

01:42And you're right.

01:43Like, I'm not going to ignore the fact that, you know, Sonic and Knuckles are great.

01:47And Sonic was a first round pick.

01:49And what did we say the other week?

01:51Four-fifths of their offensive linemen, I believe, are first round picks.

02:15Well, all of a sudden he becomes the head coaching candidate and he's gone.
