Coagulation test: Dosage of protein for coagulation This type of examination consists in the dosage of protein for coagulation (fibrinogen and coagulation factors). A coagulogram is a laboratory test done on a blood sample to estimate the time it takes for plasma to clot. A coagulation test is required to identify clotting disorders: problematic clotting that causes bleeding; too active coagulation, due to which thrombosis occurs.
