Iron content in natural water bodies

In rivers and lakes, the iron content varies from 1/10 to one milligram per liter of water, and sometimes even up to 100 milligrams per
liter.
In winter and summer, the concentration increases, in spring and autumn it decreases.
MPC (maximum permissible concentration) for the aquatic environment - 0.3 mg/l, and for fish ponds 0.10 mg/l.
