00:13DSWD Secretary Rex Gatchalian put forward a proposal for the new guidelines for aid for the Kaposangkita or ACAP Program for this year.
00:26Together with NEDA Secretary Arsenio Balisacan and DOLE Secretary Bienvenido Laguesma.
00:35In a statement, DSWD Secretary Gatchalian said that it is part of the directive of President Ferdinand Marcos, Jr.
00:44that the ACAP and other government programs will only be implemented once the clear guidelines have been laid out.
00:52Gatchalian also said that the new guidelines are expected to benefit the poor and workers affected by crises such as the pandemic and other economic challenges.
01:07Next week, it is expected that the new guidelines will be released that will clarify to the beneficiaries
01:15and how effective the ACAP Program will be implemented.
