00:00The Lord is the only true God The beginning of Jeremiah 10 verse 10 says,

00:07But the Lord is the only true God.

00:10He is the living God and the everlasting King.

00:13Let's praise God for this marvelous truth.

00:16What a blessing it is that we can rest assured that our God is the only God.

00:21The first commandment says, You shall have no other gods before me.

00:26God gave this commandment because he knows he's the living God and he also knows that

00:31it's our human bent to put people, things, job titles, etc. in front of him.

00:37When we shift the center of our identity from who we are in Christ to our job titles, relationship

00:43status, size of our house or car, or size of our bank account, we make these things

00:49the God of our lives.

00:51When we put God above everything else, we see the blessings we never would have seen

00:56otherwise as we've aligned ourselves with God's will and not our own.

01:01When we put other things first, we are out of line with his will and miss the abundant

01:06life he's promised us.

01:08How thankful we can be as we experience him as the true God.

01:13When we put our faith into practice and make God the highest in our lives, we start to

01:18see the fruit of the Spirit in our lives.

01:20Love, joy, peace, patience, kindness, goodness, faithfulness, gentleness, and self-control.

01:27We can't help but be thankful as we see God's transformation in our lives as we trust in

01:33him.

01:34This means that anyone who belongs to Christ has become a new person.

01:38The old life is gone, a new life has begun.

01:422 Corinthians 5 verse 17 Praise God for changing our lives and making

01:48us more and more like Jesus.

01:50Father, thank you for being our God.

01:53Thank you for the abundant life that you give.

01:56We give you all praise, glory, and honor because you alone are worthy.

02:02Please help us to stay focused on you and to put aside anything in our lives that we

02:06let rank higher than you.

02:09Only remind us with your Spirit that you alone are God.

02:13Amen.
