00:06The adults in your life have tried to teach you good manners for a reason.

00:11It's not so that you will be polite when someone visits or shows respect for older people.

00:17The best reason is that when showing manners, you demonstrate what God describes as love.

00:23Good manners mean you will be kind, respectful, humble, honoring to others,

00:28calm, and patient. All of these are choices we make when it comes to love.

00:34If you think manners require you to suppress personal rudeness until a person leaves,

00:39you must read the verses again. Manners are basic training for how to love your family,

00:45friends, strangers, and the girl you marry someday. Manners aren't temporary restrictions but permanent

00:51guards encouraging us to love. Prayer

00:54Dear God, what I say and how I say it are important to you.

00:59How I act and respond demonstrates whether I'm letting you change me for the better.

01:05Who I'm kind to and how unlimited I am with manners helps me learn important ways to show

01:11your love to anyone. Help me honor people I don't even know through the choice to love

01:16using manners. Amen.
