00:46Before we get into the music, let's talk about something very important that's happening in Austin a week from today.

00:53I'm talking Texas-Georgia football.

00:55I know you're like a big UGA guy.

01:04How do you feel it's going to go next Saturday, Georgia coming to Texas for football?

01:10I like to think so, but it's hard to say that while I'm sitting in Austin and I've got a bunch of fans here.

01:25I mean, it's going to be fun out in Georgia and the SEC, Texas and the SEC now.

02:02I would be so happy and love.

02:05But I think even when we were just at the VMAs and stuff too,

02:09there's such good new artists, I think, or legacy artists now.

02:12With Benson and Chapel Rowan, Shaboosie, the list goes on and on

02:20with the great new artists that I think are all legacy artists.

02:23This year seems a lot like 2008 to me where we had Drake and Nicki Minaj

02:28and all these amazing new artists coming up.

02:30That was a great year for the U.S.A.

02:31Yeah, it was.

02:32Lil Wayne's Carter III was just taking over the world.

02:34Lady Gaga was blowing up then.

02:36All of it, yeah.

02:37I like to think this is kind of similar with a lot of new artists.

02:40I'm just happy to be a part of that conversation of the new artists coming in.

02:44Of course, I would like to take something home,

02:46but there's no losing in this battle.

02:49So I'm just grateful to be a part of the conversation.

03:01I think January 24th is coming out.

03:03It's a whole lot more of a healed situation than just the album

03:07of just constant turmoil and heartbreak.

03:09So there's a lot more love.

03:11And I've got somebody in my life that I've really loved.

03:15So there's a little bit more happiness in it and healing and stuff like that.

03:19I want to give you this opportunity to brag on your girl a little bit

03:21in case you don't know.

03:22Teddy has an amazing girlfriend who's also a singer.

03:25Talk about her.

03:26She's on tour with us right now too, opening up the shows.

03:28And that's been really cool.

03:30I was really hoping it would go good because this could be a beautiful life together.

03:33And if it was just absolutely awful, then that would have sucked.

03:36But it's going really good.

03:38She's great.

03:39She's still on the bunch right now, taking her time to get ready like women do.

03:44Okay, yeah.

03:45So she's not here right this second.

03:47Probably going to be another hour and a half before she gets out.

03:49Yeah, it happens.

03:50It happens.

03:51I don't want to stereotype.

03:52That's why they look so good.

03:53I tell her good things take time, baby.

03:57Do you remember your first date?

03:59Yeah.

04:00So when we first met, I was playing the day before Thanksgiving in Atlanta

04:06back home and just asked her to come and shot by shot.

04:10And so we've kind of been rocking since then.

04:13I mean, we were talking for a while.

04:15But I think we – I don't know.

04:18I can't remember the day that we actually – I think it just kind of happened

04:21that we were just always together every day all of a sudden.

04:23But, yeah, here we are.

04:25Excellent.

04:26I'm going to cut all this and I'm going to save it for you

04:28so next time you guys get in a fight you can be like,

04:30look at all the things I said.

04:32That's very kind of you.

04:37Talk about the origins of this song and where it came from.

04:40So we were at a camp again in Palm Springs,

04:43and I've been going through nightmares for a long time in my life.

04:47Sometimes I'll wake up every 30 minutes and shoot out of my sleep.

04:50Again, just to talk about her, it's been a good partner for me that is like –

04:54she's so healing and always will hug me and hold me and tell me it's just a dream.

05:00But also has done some holistic things.

05:02She's always like, here, take some holy basil or some magnesium,

05:05or this will calm your mind.

05:07She's always just giving me supplements and moisturizing my face

05:09and just being awesome.

05:12It sounds like a keeper, Teddy.

05:13That's all I'm going to say.
