Zelenskyy Arrives in U.S. To Present Peace Proposals to Biden, U.N.

Ukrainian President Volodymyr Zelenskyy has arrived in the United States to present his plans to end Russia's invasion of Ukraine.

00:04plan to end Russia's invasion of his country.

00:07We are doing everything we can to protect our independence, our people, diplomacy, to

00:16consolidate our partners and to bring Russia to peace.

00:21Zelensky is expected to present his proposals to U.S. President Joe Biden later this week,

00:26as well as to the U.S. Congress and both Democratic and Republican presidential candidates.

00:31Zelensky will also attend sessions of the U.N. General Assembly to seek support for

00:35his peace proposals.

00:37The visit follows a summer of intense fighting, with Moscow making advances into eastern Ukraine,

00:41while Kiev holds onto its gains in Russia's Kursk region.
