Radio personality Dicky Dodd appeared at Wolverhamton's Market Square to attend the opening day of the FISE Experience.

00:49So here we are in the sunshine today in Wolverhampton and it's all about BMXing and scooters this

00:55weekend, today on Friday, it's practice day and qualifying, the two main days are Saturday

01:00and Sunday, with me is Julie from Fees Experience, how are you today?

01:03I'm good, thank you.

01:05Good, so tell us what it's all about then, what's happening here in Wolverhampton?

01:08Okay, we're happy to be here, we're from France and we bring here our event, Fees Experience,

01:14so Fees is an international extreme sports festival and we're really happy because we

01:19have a big skate park, freestyle park exactly, and we also have raking, on the freestyle

01:24park we will have two sports, BMX and scooter, and then the raking area, raking.

01:30So it's the first time in the UK and you've brought it to Wolverhampton for the first

01:34time as well?

01:35Yeah, exactly, it's the first time we came here and we're really happy, we have sun,

01:39so it will be perfect for this weekend.

01:41So tell me the event times for Saturday and Sunday as well, because that's probably where

01:43most people are going to be coming across the weekend.

01:45Okay, tomorrow, Saturday we will have qualification and final for BMX and we will have qualification

01:52for scooter and Sunday we will have finals for scooter, and raking is starting tomorrow

01:56as well and we will have finals Sunday.

02:00Who's your most promising cyclist do you reckon, who's the one who's going to be getting all

02:03the medals?

02:04I don't know.

02:05Could be anybody?

02:06Yeah.

02:07Should I go and get my bike?

02:08Is that okay?

02:09Can I bring my bike down?

02:10You can.

04:41I'm good, thank you.

04:42You were amazing then. How did it feel being on the track then?

04:45It's really good to have a competition here in Wolverhampton.

04:50I live 15 minutes away.

04:52Whereabouts in Wolverhampton do you live?

04:53I live near Sturbridge.

04:55Okay, not far then.

04:56And it's just amazing to have it in the centre of Wolverhampton.

05:01The ramps are good, the course is good.

05:04It's small, but considering where we are, it's going to be small.

05:07It's really good, I like it.

05:09It's the first time that Fize has come to the UK here in Wolverhampton,

05:12which is brilliant.

05:13But you've competed all around the world, haven't you?

05:15Yeah.

05:16World Championships.

05:17Tell us about your achievements so far.

05:19This year I got third at Montpellier Fize, which is a World Cup.

05:23And then last year I got, I think, 11th.

05:27But I think my first podium was this year at Montpellier.

05:33Okay, so how old are you?

05:3418.

05:35Wow, 18 years old, and she's achieved that much already.

05:38You've already broken your nose, four collarbones as well.

05:41You're not going to break anything this weekend, are you?

05:44No, fingers crossed.

05:45Not at all, fingers crossed.

05:46And so what are you hoping to achieve this weekend?

05:48I'm hoping to put on a show for the people who live here,

05:52and my family and friends are able to actually come and watch me as well.

05:58And, yeah, just have fun and be able to have this here.
