George Bennett brings his analysis after Walsall picked up another victory - beating Aston Villa.
Transcript
00:00Good evening Saddlers fans on Inside the Bescott, where Walsall have just beaten Premier League neighbours Aston Villa 1-0 in their third pre-season friendly.
00:08Their first in front of the Bescott crowd, and it was Harrison Burke who delivered the winner seven minutes before half-time.
00:19A really nicely worked goal from a Walsall perspective.
00:23Mason Hancock, somersign, impressed once again, just as he did in his second half showing against Leamington.
00:28It was a lovely flip from him into Connor Barrett, and he chased the ball down the right.
00:32His cross was only partially cleared to Jamie Jealous, and his low drive was flicked home beautifully by Harrison Burke into the far bottom corner.
00:43Walsall had chances earlier in the half as well. Burke headed another one over.
00:47Presley came close inside the open in 60 seconds. Charlie Lakin standing in the palms of the Villa goalkeeper.
00:54And it was a solid performance all round. Matt Saddler switched things up around the hour mark and introduced nine players, including, I don't think it went unnoticed, a certain Romain Sawyers, who's clearly on trial with Walsall at the moment.
01:07Played for Walsall 161 times between 2013 and 2016.
01:12But yeah, really solid performance from Walsall.
01:14Harrison Burke with the winner, but also with a really impressive performance.
01:18And it was a solid defensive performance all round. David Icabue in the centre of that back three.
01:23And Rico Brown, obviously still yet to make his league debut for Walsall, but acquitted himself really well on the left-hand side of that back three.
01:33And the guys that come on got the job done and, you know, only pre-season, but another confidence booster.
01:38Three wins out of three for Walsall now after beating Leamington 4-0.
01:42Hereford behind closed doors, 3-0 and that's a 1-0 win against Aston Villa.
