00:08have Notre Dame once again in the top 10 and look, I understand, I mean, we're going to

00:12have Mike Berardino coming up later in the show, he covers the Fighting Irish.

00:16They're going to Kyle Field, the debut of Mike Elko as head coach.

00:21So I will tell you this Bill, you know me, normally I am an anti-Notre Dame guy, but

00:26the line is bothering me here because it is so hard to win in that building, especially

00:32at night, 100,000 people, and yet the Aggies are only two and a half point favorites here.

00:38So what gives?

00:39What am I missing here?

00:40I think Notre Dame's defense will travel here and Riley Leonard, I think will make enough

00:45plays and get comfortable even on the road.

00:47It might take a half.

00:48I just like that Irish defense a lot.

00:51You know, Marcus Freeman's a couple of years ahead of where Mike Elko is in his first game.

00:55And one thing I checked with this game that I try to in games like this, when Notre Dame

00:59goes down to the South, 86 degrees or 75 degrees at night, 86% humidity.

01:06That's not as hot as I thought it would be, even though I know it's going to be hot down

01:09at Texas.

01:10I think the Irish find a way to weather that storm.

01:13And I was stunned, honestly, Craig, that they were underdogs to begin with, because they

01:16are a top 10 team.

01:18And I get what you say about them every year, I totally agree.

01:21This is one they got to go win though.

01:23Marcus Freeman, 7-4 against ranked opponents.

01:26No better time than now to prove it.

01:27This is a huge game for their playoff hopes too.

01:29They can't lose to Texas A&M, because the only other ranked teams on their schedule

01:33right now are Florida State and USC.
