It’s Monday, which means another edition of Coffee Catch-Up, where we steal a minute of your day to update you on the work our team did over the weekend. Here we’ve got some football for you from Michael and Rich, some words on pubs from Adam and a lovely music piece from Patrick.

00:00Hello and welcome to Coffee Catch-Up, the show where I take a minute of your day to tell you some of our biggest stories from the weekend.

00:06So a lot of the focus this weekend has been on the football.

00:08The EFL returned and so did Manchester United and Manchester City, with the two rivals battling it out for the Community Shield.

00:14Michael Plant was at the game for us and has put out a great piece with a couple of notes he took away from the game.

00:18Our Rich Fay has put out a piece on transfers.

00:20The deadline's closing in, there's a lot of rumours about Mateo still licked.

00:24You said Mazraoui as well, so keep an eye on that.

00:28Next up, with the weather turning slightly, many people are going to be dragged away from beer gardens and back into their local boozers.

00:33With that in mind, Mr Adam Lord's put out a lovely round-up of 12 pubs where you can still get a good traditional pint.

00:39We're talking places like the Britain's Protection or the City Arms, which is a personal favourite of mine.

00:43Finally, Patrick's been down to Boardmasters last week and has a great interview with Bilk frontman Sol Abrahams,

00:49who had some lovely things to say about the music scene in Manchester.
