00:00The National Sports Council has reiterated that no government funds were used for the

00:08expenses of the Olympic Council of Malaysia's delegation to the Paris Olympics.

00:13In a brief statement, the Council said it only covered costs involving athletes, coaches,

00:18MSN officials, the National Sports Institute and the operations of the Malaysia House at

00:23the Paris Games.

00:25It said that the cost of the OCM delegation and their respective guests were footed by

00:29the OCM itself and the relevant parties.

00:33Social media users recently questioned the presence of OCM President Noor Zazakaria's

00:38wife and son, who were photographed sitting with him during the badminton men's doubles

00:42playoff for the bronze medal.

00:44In response, the OCM said top officials attending the Olympics were allowed to bring guests

00:49under special accreditation cards, which were a separate matter from the accreditation granted

00:55to the Malaysian contingent, including coaches and support staff.
