00:271. Garlic
00:30Garlic is a highly beneficial food with excellent health benefits.
00:34In Ayurveda, it's considered very potent.
00:38Garlic can cure major illnesses, but it shouldn't be eaten daily.
00:43Using it daily in vegetable seasoning is incorrect.
00:46Garlic affects the nervous system directly due to its sulfur compound,
00:51which can damage brain cells if consumed daily.
00:54Garlic also destroys healthy bacteria in the gut and creates toxins,
00:59which is harmful for spiritual growth.
01:02Hence, it's better to avoid it or consume it as medicine only.
01:072. Sweet Potatoes
01:11Rich in vitamins A, B, C, and dietary fiber,
01:15sweet potatoes are a great source of complex carbohydrates that provide long-lasting energy.
01:21Some people recommend sweet potatoes for weight loss, while others say to avoid them completely.
01:27However, Ayurveda suggests that sweet potatoes can be used for both weight gain and weight loss.
01:33To gain weight, boil the sweet potatoes, which increases their water content.
01:39To lose weight, bake, roast, or saute them with a little oil.
01:44Healing the skin can further aid in weight loss.
01:483. Basil Leaves
01:51Basil has incredible benefits and is revered worldwide.
01:55However, consuming basil tea with milk is harmful
01:59as they are incompatible foods according to Ayurveda.
02:02This creates toxins in the body.
02:04Avoid chewing basil leaves as they contain mercury, which can damage teeth if stuck.
02:10Instead, swallow the leaves whole to gain their benefits.
02:14Avoid consuming basil daily to let your body detox.
02:194. Sprouted Grains
02:21Sprouted grains are extremely nutritious, containing complete proteins,
02:26fiber, antioxidants, and micronutrients.
02:30However, they should never be boiled or cooked as they lose their nutrients.
02:35Consume them raw or mixed with fresh fruits and vegetables.
02:39Sprouts are cold in nature, so eat them in small quantities,
02:44preferably before meals, and avoid eating them after 5 p.m.
