Looking through the keyhole on the door to the headquarters of the Order of the Knights of Malta, you can see all the way through to St Peter's Basilica in Vatican City.

00:22those spectacular coastal villages, and to visit the infamous Spanish steppes in Rome.

00:31But by far and away, my favourite destination in Italy is a keyhole. Yes, a keyhole. If

00:40you look through this unassuming keyhole in Rome, part of an entrance door to the Priory

00:45of Knights of Malta, a religious order of crusader knights that originated in Jerusalem

00:50in the 11th century, you get a magical view of a tree-lined path to the dome of St Peter's

00:58Basilica in Vatican City. A peek across three countries and into another world.

01:13Do we have a keyhole with an equally as impressive view anywhere in Canberra? Or even Australia?
