00:00Disappointment once again on the international stage for the United
00:07States men's national team last night it wasn't too international in Kansas
00:12City inside Arrowhead Stadium in a game the US had to win to advance out of
00:19group play into the knockout round at Copa America they don't win they don't
00:25even draw they lose 1-0 to Uruguay Panama beat Bolivia big 3 to 1 so they
00:31would have had to win by at least a goal but still Team USA unable to do that
00:39disappointment time and again it's the Twilight Zone DRS we are in purgatory we
00:45are in limbo this is the golden generation one of the priorities of the
00:50United States Soccer Federation was to have everybody on the men's national
00:54team play over in the highest leagues in Europe everybody does and we still
01:00can't get out of the group play in a tournament here in the States what is
01:05going to happen in the World Cup in less than two years I'm not even a soccer fan
01:09and I'm pissed on this Tuesday morning absolutely should be at that point also
01:14when it comes down to like Uruguay already had moved on into the next round
01:19so we see this all the time in professional sports let me get this
01:22straight this team is gonna fight kick and scream to get by here and the other
01:26team is like just don't get hurt just don't get yellow cards just don't get
01:29kicked out of the game who cares what happens and Uruguay dominated the United
01:33States yesterday in a one-to-nothing effort that's what I don't understand
01:36that yes like I talked about this many times we should be much better as a
01:40soccer nation how much longer do we have to wait for at least a few good players
01:43to come along or a coach that actually looks like he knows what he's doing
01:47what's the way like sometimes when you watch like high-level basketball right
01:50it's like man that coach really knows what he's doing or when they call a
01:53timeout out of the break they're really well prepared how come every single time
01:56that we're taking a look at US soccer and even yesterday having some guests on
02:00we're saying to ourselves you know what we're gonna do a whole national search
02:04on a coach that we think stinks but we're gonna come back with the same
02:06coach that stinks who's the best person for the job wouldn't it be nice just to
02:10hire a coach like you know what they finally solved that issue moving forward
02:14the US is in good hands but every time we line up it's like boy what is this
02:18matching up here what is this pairing what is this offensive force we have it
02:21just never ends up in just once can we find a superstar player that can carry
02:26us I'm not asking for Messi I'm not asking for Ronaldo just give me
02:30somebody you can lean on in big moments here we just don't have that and it's
02:34been that way for 30 years now we're supposed to though Christian
02:38Pulisic is supposed to be that guy he's yelling at the refs so the ref won't
02:42even shake his hand Flo Baligan supposed to be that guy
02:46no Ricardo Pepe is supposed to be that guy nope nobody is that guy Gio Reyna
02:51yeah right so so much goes into the Greg Berhalter thing obviously the US Soccer
02:57Federation said last night they will do a deep dive into this National
03:02Federation ahead of the World Cup in less than two years that will be hosted
03:06here in North America and Mexico they also did an internal investigation into
03:11Greg Berhalter after they got bounced from the World Cup two winters ago where
03:17a lot of dirty laundry was uncovered led by Claudio Reyna who played on the US
03:22men's national team Gio's father who was one of Greg Berhalter's best friend his
03:27contract expired into this investigation no wrongdoing was found they do an
03:32internal I guess like they had a evaluation period with some outside
03:38investigative firm to determine who is the best person to lead the US men's
03:42national team into the future and they circled back on Berhalter
