01:19If big whales swim in the sea, which is big,

01:24then little whales will swim in ponds, which are little.

01:28That's logical, he thought.

01:30And as he was only a small cat, a small whale would easily satisfy him.

01:35Henry's cat got out his fishing rod and some bait

01:37and he set off to the village pond to fish for whales.

01:40He had been there over half an hour without catching anything,

01:42except an old boot and a bicycle wheel,

01:44when Chris Rabbit came along and asked Henry's cat what he was doing.

01:48Oh, I'm catching whales, he said.

01:51But I seem to be better at catching wheels.

01:54Oh, what bait are you using? asked Chris Rabbit.

01:58Mainly marmalade, Henry's cat replied.

02:01But I've also tried chocolate biscuits and peanuts.

02:04You won't catch whales like that, said Chris Rabbit.

02:08They're very cunning. You'll have to trick them.

02:12How? asked Henry's cat, thinking how lucky he had been to meet Chris Rabbit.

02:16Easy! First you pretend you're a whale,

02:18and then after you've become friends with them, you play leapfrog together.

02:22And then you get someone with a net to catch them as they jump out of the water.

02:26I always catch them that way.

02:28Oh, now, why didn't I think of that? said Henry's cat.

02:32I'll pretend I'm a whale and you can catch them.

02:35Off he went to sort out some whale-pretending clothes.

02:38First of all, he found a large yellow cloth.

02:40He thought yellow was a nice, friendly sort of colour for a whale, and quite fashionable as well.

02:45He put a goldfish bowl over his head to keep the water out,

02:48laid the cloth over an old umbrella, and painted a friendly whale face on it.

02:52He then put up a flag he could wave to Chris Rabbit just as soon as the whales started leaping.

02:57Then he weaved his way back to the pond.

02:59Unfortunately, Henry's cat couldn't see very well out of his disguise,

03:03and he didn't notice Daisy the cow having a drink.

03:06And Daisy didn't notice Henry's cat either, at first.

03:09But when she did, she jumped straight into the pond,

03:12because what looks friendly to whales doesn't always look friendly to cows.

03:16Henry's cat thought all the noise was being made by the whales playing leapfrog.

03:20He was very pleased, and he wiggled his flag as a signal for Chris Rabbit to catch them.

03:24But Chris Rabbit was nowhere to be seen.

03:26He had hopped off as soon as he'd seen angry farmer Giles approaching.

03:30Grrr! What's all this then? Frightening my Daisy into the pond?

03:34Henry's cat was surprised to say the least.

03:36He took off his friendly whale disguise and said,

03:38I only wanted to taste some whale.

03:41Taste whale! Taste whale! You'll get a taste of my stick, that's what!

03:46Oh, is it licorice? asked Henry's cat.

03:50But farmer Giles didn't seem to understand.
