00:39 In the Malacanang Press Briefing, the Foreign Affairs Department said, "The President's first state visit to Brunei has already been ironed out,
00:47 where he is scheduled to meet with Brunei Sultan Hassanal Bolquia. The two leaders are expected to discuss the strengthening of bilateral relations between the two countries,
00:56 particularly on the matter of economic growth, as well as people-to-people relations."
01:01 "We want to focus in on economic cooperation. As you know, Brunei is a powerhouse in terms of energy, but they are also a good market for us."
01:15 Some memorandum of understanding that cover priority areas including agriculture, food security, maritime cooperation, and tourism are also expected to be signed.
01:25 The President will also spearhead a series of business forum in Brunei to encourage potential investors to pay the country a visit and see for themselves.

01:44 The chief executive will also visit the Filipino community there to know their situation and lay out government's programs for them.
01:51 In Singapore, the President is scheduled to give a keynote speech at the International Institute for Strategic Studies or IISS Shangri-La Dialogue, which is the first for a Philippine president.
02:03 IISS is a think-tank organization for defense and security issues. This will pave the way for the country to lay out, discuss, and address some of its regional and global security challenge.

02:25 On the sidelines of the activity, President Marcos Jr. is expected to meet with the newly elected President and Prime Minister of Singapore.
