00:00Police have arrested blogger Wan Azri Wan Duris, whose alter ego is believed to be Papa
00:08Gomo, for allegedly making seditious remarks against the young Diputuan Agong.
00:14Inspector General of Police Razah Rudin Husin confirmed that Wan Azri was arrested at his
00:19residence in Setapa, Kuala Lumpur around noon today, Utusan Malaysia reported.
00:26He said the application for remand against Wan Azri is currently being processed, adding
00:31that the case is being investigated under Section 4 Sub 1 of the Sedition Act 1948 and
00:38Section 233 of the Communications and Multimedia Act 1998.
00:44Wan Azri is believed to have made the remarks in a 2-minute and 46-second video where he
00:49questioned the King's decision to grant an audience to KK Mart owner Chai Kee Kan.
00:55In the same video, he also allegedly claimed that the King had ordered Bajul Hisham Shaharin,
01:01also known as Chai Kubat, to be charged in court under the Sedition Act.
