00:13 We came up with the solution that gives me that peace of mind that I'm actually going
00:17 to get there.
00:20 Air Agri, simply put, is the lifeguard in your pocket.
00:26 The person that you always wished that you had behind you, watching you when you were
00:30 working in remote locations.
00:34 In essence, the challenge that we've gone about addressing is lone worker safety and
00:41 so that was, I guess, the nucleus of Air Agri.
00:45 How do we bring peace of mind and clarity on where people are in remote places around
00:51 rural properties.
00:52 Paul and I are third generation farmers from Mansfield, Victoria and we've always looked
01:00 at ways that technology could help us and solve some of the problems that we've seen
01:04 through what we live on a daily basis but then also our generations and uncles and grandfathers
01:10 before us.
01:13 Air Agri's broken up into two simple sides.
01:16 We have a digital map and then we use wearable small IoT devices like this one or this one
01:23 and the farmer, all they have to do is carry this with them and this device is then talking
01:30 back and our software and system is monitoring the behaviours of that farmer or that team
01:37 member in relation to the farm.
01:39 So our solution doesn't use cellular networks like 4G and 5G, it uses a totally different
01:45 network and that gives us confidence in rural and remote locations that these devices will
01:52 continuously send back the locations and the behaviours of lone and remote workers.
01:57 Russell's a really interesting customer of ours because where he differs is he actually
02:01 has diabetes and works alone.
02:05 His wife doesn't have to continuously look and monitor Russell, she has the confidence
02:10 that the system will set off an alarm and tell her where he is and that something's
02:14 not right.
02:15 I thought it was a good idea, especially when we're out in the back of that plot behind
02:18 where I've got the cattle.
02:21 It's steep and rugged and anything could happen out there unknowingly and with diabetes as
02:26 well it's a great service.
02:28 I have it with me every day, it's a great little device to have with you because you
02:33 just never know when that accident is likely to happen.
02:37 The good thing that we're very comfortable with is it's a generational product.
02:44 There's young farmers that love technology, there's old school farmers that don't understand
02:51 it but the old school farmers all they've got to do is put it on a charge point every
02:55 couple of days and then slip it in their pocket or next to their leatherment.
02:59 The reason why we're going to AgConnect is really to continue I guess the education and
03:08 the sharing of our story of what we're trying to achieve on our farm and hopefully replicate
03:14 that on a lot of other farms across Australia.
03:19 For us it's very much about a partnership, a partnership with farmers to help them on
03:24 that journey into unlocking the value of technology.
03:30 You don't need to understand technology to use this technology.
