00:00 11-1, 8-4 is not for me fully indicative of who these teams are.
00:08 I don't think what you're seeing, "Ah, people aren't giving JMU any credit."
00:11 No, it's Air Force has still built up some respect in the marketplace here.
00:16 What I will say with James Madison, and again, 11-1 is 11-1, but obviously this is not a
00:22 murderer's row that this team had to run through.
00:24 And I think inarguably their two toughest opponents were Troy and App State.
00:28 Now a two-point road win against Troy, who only lost two games, a great win.
00:31 It was a two-point finish.
00:33 And then the loss to App State was an overtime by three, but it was a loss.
00:38 Point is, if JMU had played, and there's a reason why Wright, and I know they weren't
00:42 really eligible, but James Madison never would get true college football playoff consideration,
00:47 is if the schedule was more difficult, this team finishes maybe 8-4, just like Air Force
00:54 here.
00:55 Again, that is where it comes into me, having to try, and I know they've had a lot of time,
00:58 Joe, to prep for this triple option here, but as someone that likes the over, you have
01:02 to like Air Force to hit explosives in this game.
01:04 Oh, absolutely.
01:05 And again, I lean to JMU just because of McLeod, because when you do face the triple option,
01:11 it's can the opposition get that triple option attack out of its game plan.
01:16 Start fast, jump up, almost like a college basketball game.
01:19 We talk about 20-0 runs, 14-0, you know, 17-3 to force them to play from behind where they
01:26 can't utilize and dictate the tempo in terms of the rushing attack.
01:30 So that is going to be the game plan, you know, heading into this ballgame.
01:33 And, you know, to Kevin's point in regards to the coaching staff, when you don't see
01:37 the triple option each and every week or play it on a consistent basis, there is the opportunity
01:43 to over-pursue, which could lead to counter option number one and big plays as it relates
01:50 to the rushing attack, and that's why I really like the over as my best play in this ballgame,
01:55 even though I think JMU has better talent.
01:58 Let's see how they respond, but I think both teams could put up points on each other.
02:02 That Air Force defense that was very good at the start of the year did wear down later
02:07 in the season, so let's see how it plays out.
02:10 They did win their ballgame last year as well, Air Force.
02:13 They always come prepared, 30-15 over Baylor last year.
