00:00Let's do Kyle Whittingham. Of course, we already know he's named a successor at Utah.
00:06He's been there forever, but last year was an awful year for him, 5-7 as they entered the Big 12 Conference.
00:13Well, of course, Whittingham, he was not going to leave on a note like that.
00:17I couldn't stop it going out with that season as frustrating as it was and as discouraging as it was.
00:26I just didn't sit well with anybody, but most of all me.
00:30And so I thought, hey, you know, that's not going to be the final act of my deal.
00:36I've got to come back and try to get the ship right and get back on track.
00:41Okay, other than that sounded like it was in a toilet bowl, I have to say he reminds me of our boy Gundy.
00:49Like, end of the road. He's been there forever.
00:52It started crumbling. The castle is going down.
00:58And yet they bring him back for more.
01:00Like, I'm not buying it.
01:02I think his run in Salt Lake is over.
01:06But, you know, obviously the intimidation of a guy that's been around that long in Gundy and in this guy,
01:13if you look at their cases, they're very similar.
01:16It's been going on forever, right?
01:18And it's time for a change.
01:20I think in Stillwater and in Salt Lake.
01:22I've got to be honest with you.
01:23And believe me, if they lose again, they're going to get rid of him.
01:28They absolutely will if they lose again.
01:31That's for sure.
01:32On the other side, let's go to West Virginia now,
01:35where, as you know,
01:38some of their greatest heights were when Rich Rodriguez was the head coach.
01:41Remember, he took all that money to go to Michigan way back in the day.
01:45It's been a long road for Rich Rod since then as well.
01:48But you can always come back home, Scotty.
01:50And Rich Rod is glad that he has.
01:52I guess the challenge is ours.
01:54Everything is different now.
01:56But at the same time, it's not.
01:57Like, West Virginia, in West Virginia, football is important.
02:01Athletics is important.
02:02W is important.
02:03Because we're a smaller state and there's no other Power 14,
02:06there's no pro organization.
02:08So it's a big deal to a lot of people.
02:10And I take a lot of responsibility for that or have responsibility for that
02:15because I know that.
02:16I played there.
02:17I coached there.
02:17I grew up there.
02:18So, you know, I think our players are going to hear that quite a bit.
02:22They already are.
02:23But I'm blessed.
02:26I'm fortunate.
02:26It doesn't happen very often that you get a chance to, I guess,
02:30come full circle and come back.
02:33There's so many things that have to take place for that to happen.
02:36And thankfully for myself, I'm blessed for the opportunity that happened.
02:41Listen, the guy can coach.
02:44There's no doubt about it.
02:45And he's won there.
02:47He's won everywhere.
02:48He doesn't look like Rich Rodriguez anymore, though.
02:51Man, does he look different and old to me.
