00:00 - But you're a journalist. - I am a journalist.
00:02 And you know the effect a book like this has,
00:05 so surely you can't be surprised by the reaction.
00:08 I knew that it would be heated and controversial, absolutely.
00:12 But I think that, I don't know how closely you follow it,
00:16 but a lot of this has been simply about me.
00:20 It's been unnecessary information about me,
00:22 it's been unfair attacks about me,
00:24 it's been an assassination of my character,
00:26 my father's been harassed, my pets.
00:27 You had death threats as well.
00:29 And yeah, and I don't want to make light of those,
00:31 but death threats were almost like the least of my worry.
00:33 I had tabloid journalists harassing my father
00:36 last week and the week before,
00:38 trying to purport all sorts of nonsense.
00:41 I've had things done that have happened behind the scenes
00:44 that no one would ever know about.
00:46 The reality is that this book covers a lot of things
00:49 that the British press don't want to talk about
00:51 because they are part of it.
00:53 And it's why it's so important for,
00:55 listen, I'm not asking people to buy this book,
00:57 rent it from the library,
00:59 but I want people to see it for themselves.
