Police in the US have charged a sixty-year-old former gang leader with the 1996 murder of hip-hop star Tupac Shakur, a breakthrough in the decades-long case still gripping the public.

The New York-born rapper was shot four times aged 25 in a drive-by attack in Las Vegas, which authorities have found was orchestrated by Duane "Keffe D" Davis. Nevada's grand jury indicted Davis on Friday, on one count of murder with a deadly weapon. Report by Fatimaz. 00:56 in the US Attorney's Office,
00:57 where he could sit down and divulge incriminating information
01:01 without the fear of having that information
01:03 used against him.
01:04 Well, he then began to go out
01:05 and publicly make comments and statements
01:08 that were not covered by the conditions of this agreement.
01:12 He probably thought he had some type of immunity.
01:14 He didn't.
01:15 And so now he has essentially talked himself
01:18 right into jail.
