Tributes have been paid to a man who died after being attacked in Shard End.

Darren Smith was found with serious head injuries outside shops in Heath Way on March 15. Paying tribute his family said 'He was a caring man and was loved by all who knew him'. West Midlands Police say they are continuing with their enquiries.

Plans have been unveiled to replace the former John Lewis store in Birmingham. The building is set to rise above Grand Central and its four floors will be home to offices, a gym, a food market, a restaurant and bar, and events space, all topped off with a roof garden and bar.
