Glasgow headlines 10 March: Police appeal for information following a Bellshill crash
  • last year
Police Scotland is appealing for information following a serious four vehicle road crash on the A725 in Bellshill.

It happened around 12pm on Wednesday 8 March, and a 56-year-old man who was riding a motorbike is now in critical, but stable condition at Queen Elizabeth University Hospital.

No one else was injured.

Next up, Scotrail is set to run trains more frequently on Saturdays than during the week on its main Glasgow to Edinburgh route, following a change in travel habits triggered by the pandemic.

With an increased number of people working from home there is less demand for commuter services, while more people are travelling between the cities at the weekend.

And in other news, the city’s west end has been named the 12th coolest place to live in the UK in 2023 by a national survey.

Naturecan conducted the public vote, which also placed Polperro in Cornwall top of the list, and Edinburgh’s Leith in seventh.
