Steven Earl "Steve" Gaines is an American musician, best known as the guitarist, vocalist, and songwriter of the rock band Lynyrd Skynyrd from May 11, 1976 until his death in a plane crash on October 20, 1977. The only solo record was recorded at Capricorn Studios in Macon, Georgia in 1975. The album was released on the label "MCA Records" 11 years after the death of the musician.
