ACCC urges government to act on 'concerning' gas outlook

The consumer watchdog has taken the extraordinary step of urging the federal government to consider intervening in the energy market in a bid to shore up supply. The Australian Competition and Consumer Commission has released an interim report into east coast gas stocks, forecasting a significant local shortfall next year.
