Ukrainian musicians channel patriotism and anger into war anthems
The Ukrainian band Ocheretyanyi Kit performs on top of a burnt Russian tank, blaring out a new song called "Javelin" in honour of the US-supplied, shoulder-fired missile to tackle back Russia's invasion in Kyiv's outskirts. Downtown in the Ukrainian capital, DJ Yana Manuilova plays pro-Ukrainian songs praising the bravery of the country's defenders and ballads about the heartbreak caused by the war's brutal toll. Amid the war, musicians play a vital role in rallying support for the country's fight against Russia.
