Baldev Kumar, Former MLA of Pakistani Prime Minister Imran Khan's party Pakistan Tehreek-i-Insaf (PTI) has requested for political asylum in India. He accused Imran Khan of ignoring the rights of minorities in Pakistan. The former MLA from Barikot in Khyber Pakhtunkhwa is currently staying in Khanna, Punjab along with his family and does not wish to go back.
