Pakistan Violates Ceasefire Along LoC In Kupwara In J&K, 3 Civilians Killed, Indian Army Retaliates

At least three civilians were killed in shelling by Pakistan. The incident took place in Rangwar area of Kupwara district in J&K on April 12. A mortar shell fired by Pakistani troops exploded in a civilian area and fire engulfed a house. Pakistan also violated ceasefire at Kerani sector in Poonch where a civilian got injured. Reportedly, fire exchanges have now stopped and officials are evacuating people living close to the LoC in these areas. Reportedly, Pakistan started firing mortar shells in Qasba and Kirni sectors at 1:40 pm on April 12, inviting a strong and effective retaliation by the Indian Army. Pakistan has repeatedly violated ceasefire for a week. This comes despite the challenges faced by the two countries due to the coronavirus outbreak. There was a video shot from drone showing India army targeting Pakistani terror launch pads. Amateur video emerged from PoK of the Indian army guns targeting terror launch pads, gun areas and ammunition in response to unprovoked ceasefire violation by Pakistan in Keran Sector of Kupwara district.
