May Day, also known as International Workers’ Day and Labour Day is observed annually on May 1 across the globe. May Day is a significant day in history as it marked the onset of eight-hour day movement which advocated eight hours for work, eight hours for recreation, and eight hours for rest. May Day is a special day and is important for all of us as the day remembers the contributions of individuals that helped in building the society.
