U.S. drug giant Pfizer says... if everything goes well... the company may be able to request emergency authorization for its COVID-19 vaccine by the third week of November.
According to Reuters, this suggests that a vaccine could be available in the U.S. within this year.
The next likely request for emergency authorization is from Moderna, who say they may be ready as early as November 25th.
This comes as a blow to the U.S. President, Donald Trump, who promised voters that a vaccine could be ready before the election, which is in early November.
