Wall Street was left disappointed after Tesla CEO Elon Musk dampened highly anticipated Battery Day expectations.
Tesla shares dropped ten percent on Wednesday wiping billions of dollars off its stock value after Musk announced new battery technology.
He claimed the new technology will make Tesla batteries cheaper and more powerful,... but he was faced with criticism that upgrades are likely to take years to apply.
He also spoke of plans to make an affordable electric car selling at 25-thousand U.S. dollars in about three years' time.
But his presentation didn't excite investors raising concerns that the new technology might not be available for high-volume production until 2022.
