South Korea sees a slight uptick in the number of new COVID-19 cases reported,... with the figures in triple digits for the second consecutive day.
Health officials are worried that the upcoming major holiday could bring more cluster infections.

South Korea reported 125 new COVID-19 cases on Thursday. Of them, 110 were locally transmitted and 15 were from overseas.
Health officials are on alert as the upcoming Chuseok holiday, which starts September 30th, may bring another wave of the virus.
The government will announce on Friday a 'special virus infection preventive scheme'...which will last for two weeks from September 28th to October 11th.
As the Chuseok holiday is usually a time when people travel across the country,... the social distancing measures are expected to be stricter than those currently in place.
COVID-19 testing centers will be available as usual during the holiday season, and temporary testing facilities will also be opened to deal with cluster infections.
Thursday marks the second day in a row with more than 100 confirmed cases as infections rise again after dropping as low as 61 on Tuesday following the strict level two-point-five social distancing measures.
The health authorities are especially concerned about the threat from door-to-door sales businesses.
"Door-to-door sales businesses are frequently causing cluster infections. This way of business puts the elderly at a very high risk, as it requires meetings in crowded indoor spaces."
The total number of confirmed cases now stands at 23-thousand-341.
There were five additional deaths,... raising the death toll to 393.
