A large herd of elephants was spotted crossing a national highway in the eastern Indian state of Odisha.

The incident took place in National Highway 55 of Dhenkanal district on August 22.

Footage shows the herd crossing from one side of the highway to the other, as people stop their vehicles to watch.

According to local reports, the National Highways Authority of India is commencing construction work for an elephant underpass.
