00:13 Welcome to another enchanting episode of Kan Kanmey Ram.
00:18 In this episode, we embark on a journey to discover the rich cultural significance of Lord Ram
00:24 in the eastern state of Odisha.
00:28 A land whose history is steeped in spirituality and sacrifice,
00:33 Odisha beckons us to its Raghunath Jew temple.
00:40 As the country eagerly awaits the consecration ceremony of Ram Mandir in Ayodhya,
00:45 we travel over 1000 kilometers south to the quaint town of Odagaon.
00:51 Raghuvira may have just one janma bhoomi, but several karma bhoomis.
00:56 And it is our luck that today we shall visit another.
01:01 The Raghunath Jew temple is situated 26 kilometers away from Nayagarh town
01:07 and 10 kilometers from Sarankul.
01:10 This sacred abode, made of neem wood in the classic Kalinga style,
01:15 is dedicated to Lord Ram alongside his brother Lakshman and his wife Mata Sita.
01:22 The temple was built in the 8th century BC.

01:43 The temple was built in the 8th century BC.
01:52 Legend has it that this place was once the yajna kund of Atri Muni.
01:58 Atri is one of the Saptarshi or the seven great Vedic sages in the Hindu tradition.
02:05 He is the one most mentioned in the Rig Veda.
02:09 In the Ramayana, Lord Ram, Mata Sita and Lakshman visit Atri and his wife Mahasati Anasuya in their hamitaj.
02:19 According to Nayagarh's history, the 19th king Mrityunjay Singh bestowed this temple upon the land in 1763.
02:29 As we explore its sacred grounds, we find the temple divided into three parts
02:35 Bhadramandap, Natmandap and Darshanmandap.
02:40 Beyond the Raghunath Jew temple, the divine energy of the surroundings is infused with the worship of Maa Durga,
02:47 Shri Narasimha, Navagraha, Surya Mandir, Ganesh Mandir and Narayan Mandir in its vicinity.
02:57 But that's not all.
02:58 This sacred land has more to offer.
03:01 It is said that the renowned Odia poet, Kavi Samrat Upendra Bhanja found solace and attained perfection in the Ram Tarak mantra
03:11 through meditation in this very place.
03:16 The captivating tales of Raghunath unfold before our eyes.
03:21 In Nayagarh, the temple showcases two distinct forms of the revered deity, Banwasi and Abhisheki Rama.
03:30 In Banwasi, Ram, Lakshman and Sita stand adorned in woodland attire,
03:36 wielding bows and arrows resonating with the essence of their journey in the forest.
03:41 Meanwhile, Abhisheki Ram, Lakshman and Sita are ornamented regally in royal attire,
03:48 their resplendence magnifying the Rajasi Vesh.
03:54 As we bask in the ethereal aura of the Raghunath Jew temple, we realize the extent to which the Ram Lala Prana Pratishtha ceremony
04:03 is appreciated by the devotees in this eastern state.
04:08 Ram se bade Ram ka naam, after all.
04:12 I am very happy to be serving the Raghunath Jew temple.
04:21 But today, on the occasion of the 22nd, the temple will be inaugurated.
04:27 I am very proud of this.
04:33 The Hindu religion is a great symbol of the country.
04:41 It is a political issue.
04:45 The whole of India is proud of the inauguration of the Ram temple.
04:51 Odisha's treasures are not merely etched in stone, but are living,
04:56 breathing testaments to the enduring devotion of the people of Bharat.
