Chicken Curry is a typical curry from the Indian subcontinent consists of chicken stewed with onion and tomato, flavoured with ginger, garlic, green chilli and a variety of spices including turmeric, cumin, coriander, cinnamon, cardamom bay leaf and so on.
Recipe:
Ingredients for First Marination :
Chicken-500gm (Curry Cut Pieces)
Onion-2 medium size chopped onion
Ginger-Garlic-Green Chilli Paste-4 tbsp
Tomatoes-4 Medium Size Tomatoes (cut tomatoes in four pieces)
Ingredients For 2nd Marination:
Salt-1 tsp
Turmeric Powder-1 tsp
Kashmiri Red Chilli Powder-1 tsp
Cumin Powder-1 tsp
Coriander Powder-1 tsp
Garam Masala-1/2 tsp
Ingredients For Cooking:
Bayleaf-2
Cinnamon-1
Green Cardamom-2
Cooking Process:
Heat 4 tbsp oil in a pressure cooker. Add 2 bay leaf, 1 cinnamon, 2 green cardamoms. Let them crackle. Add the marinated chicken & fry it for 2 mins on medium heat. Close the lid of the cooker & let it cook for 4 whistles(Do not add water). After 4 whistles open the lid & add 1 cup freshly chopped coriander & switch off the flame. Serve it with Roti/paratha/Rice.
