Ingredients for Prawn Curry: Prawns-500 gm (Medium Size) Potatoes-1 Medium Size Potato Cumin-1/2 tsp Onion Paste-3 tbsp Ginger-Garlic-Green Chilli Paste-2 tbsp Chopped Tomatoes-1 Medium Size Tomato Salt-1 tsp Turmeric Powder-1/2 tsp Red chilli Powder-1 tsp Cumin Powder-1 tsp Water- As Required
Ingredients for Frying Prawns: Salt-1/2 tsp Turmeric Powder-1/2 tsp
Ingredients for Frying Potatoes: Salt-1/2 tsp Turmeric Powder-1/2 tsp
Recipe: Heat 2 tbsp mustard oil in a kadai over medium heat. Add prawns to it (use medium size prawns in this recipe). Add 1/2 tsp salt & turmeric powder into it. Stir until the prawns are bright yellow & fragnant. Keep it aside. In the same oil add poratoes. Add 1/2 tsp salt & turmeric powder to it. Keep frying until golden brown. Keep it aside. Heat 2 tbsp mustard oil over medium heat & add 1/2 tsp cumin. Then add onion paste & fry on low heat. Keep frying until golden brown. Add ginger-garlic-green chilli paste & keep frying for 3-4 mins. Add chopped tomatoes, 1 tsp salt, 1/2 tsp turmeric powder, 1 tsp red chilli powder & 1 tsp cumin powder to it. Fry the masala 4-5 mins. Add water whenever the spices dry out. Fry until oil separates. Add fried potatoes & mix it with the masala. Add water as required. Cover & cook over low heat for a further 10 mins(stirring Occasionally). After 10 mins add fried prawns & required water to make gravy. Cook for 3 mins on medium heat & switch off the flame. Prawn curry is ready to serve with Rice.
