Good morning, as soon as the monsoon season came to an end last Sunday, sweltering summer heat moved in to central parts of the country. A heat wave warning is in place across much of the country. It's shaping up to be hotter than yesterday, so brace for a scorcher.
Steamy heat and high humidity could make it feel a lot hotter today and burning sunshine will boost UV rays to very high levels so don't forget your sunblock. Watch out for heat stroke.
Intense heat continued overnight, with overnight temperatures hovering above 25 degrees Celsius.
Especially those in the south and Jeju will need to take care of yourself, the severe heat wave has been going on for a week now, Daegu could see highs soaring to 38 degrees.
The heat will hit its peak for over the next couple of days for the capital region, while those in the south will endure more scorching temperatures.
