S. Korea reports 44 new cases of COVID-19, one more death

South Korea has reported another 44 cases of the coronavirus... as of Sunday midnight.
This brings the cumulative number to 13-thousand-four-hundred-and-seventeen.
Of the new cases, 21 were local and 23 were imported.
There was one additional death reported, raising the death toll to 289.
Because of a recent surge in local infections, the government is urging people not to go to restaurants at peak times over the weekend.
It's also reminding people to wear masks and sanitize their hands when they get to the restaurant and to refrain from talking during their meal.
