South Korea reported 59 new cases of COVID-19 on Thursday, ...the first time in six days that there have been more than 50 new cases.
Of them, all but eight were local transmissions.
Twenty-five cases were reported in Seoul, 16 in Gyeonggi-do Province ...and seven in the central city of Daejeon.
Total cases now stand at twelve-thousand-two-hundred-57.
There was one new death, ...raising the death toll to two-hundred-80.
Nearly 22-thousand people are currently being tested.
Meanwhile, ...the Central Disaster and Safety Countermeasure Headquarters says it will introduce a reservation system for beaches for the first time ...as part of prevention efforts.
