रामशेज किल्ला नाशिक जिल्यात पेठ भागात गिरीदुर्ग प्रकारचा किल्ला आहे.
हा ऐतिहासिक किल्ला असा एकमेव किल्ला आहे ज्याने मोगलांशी जवळजवळ सडे पाच वर्षे झुंज देत होता.
किल्याचा इतिहास खूप मोठा आहे. श्री राम वनवासात असतांना त्यांनी या डोंगरावर काही दिवस मुक्काम केला होता, त्या मुळे या किल्याला रामशेज असे नाव मिळाले.
किल्यावर पाहण्यासाठी बरीच ठिकाणे आहेत. किल्यावर जाताना एक गुहा लागते. त्या गुहेत रामाचे मंदिर आहे. गुहेच्या एका बाजूला शिलालेख आहे तर दुसऱ्या बाजूने खाली पाण्याचे टाके आहे. गडमाथ्यावर पोहोचताच आपल्याला निसर्गाची बरीच मन मोहक द्रुश्य दिसतात. गडमाथ्यावर समोर आपल्याला गुप्त दरवाजा दिसतो.
गडावर देवीचे मंदिर आहे मंदिरात नवरात्रात मोठा उत्सव असतो. मंदिराच्या मागच्या बाजूला थोडे खाली उतरल्यावर दुसरा गुप्त दरवाजा आहे. थोडा पुढे गेल्यावर आपल्याला वाड्याचे अवशेष दिसतात.
किल्ल्यावरून भोरगड आणि चांभार लेणी हा सर्व परिसर आपल्याला बघायला मिळतो.
रामशेज ला जाण्याचा मार्ग:
नाशिक मधून पेठ कडे जाण्यासाठी बस आहे. त्या बस ने आशेवाडी फाट्यावर उतरून आशेवाडी गावात जात येते. गावाला वळसा घालून मागच्या बाजूच्या वाटेने रामशेज किल्ला आहे.
Ramshej fort is a hill fort type in Peth area of Nashik district.It is the only historical fort that has been battling the Mughals for almost five and a half years.
The history of the fort is very long. While Shri Ram was in exile, he stayed on this hill for a few days, hence the name Ramshej. There are many places to see on the fort. There is a cave on the way to the fort. There is a temple of Rama in that cave. There is an inscription on one side of the cave and a water tank on the other side. As soon as you reach the top of the fort, you can see many captivating views of nature. In front of the fort we see a secret door.
There is a temple of Goddess on the fort. The temple has a big festival on Navratri. There is another secret door at the back of the temple a little further down. A little further on you see the ruins of the castle.From the fort, you can see Bhorgad and Chambarleni caves.
Getting to Ramshej:
There is a bus from Nashik to Peth. You can get off the bus at Ashewadi fork and go to Ashewadi village. The village is surrounded by Ramshej fort
