미FDA, 코로나19에 클로로퀸 긴급사용 취소…"효과 없어"

The U.S. Food and Drug Administration has revoked it emergency-use authorization for the use of (high-droxy-claw-row-queen) hydroxychloroquine as a COVID-19 treatment.
After reviewing research available on the drug,... the FDA concluded it does not meet "the statutory criteria" for emergency use authorization,... as they said it's unlikely the drug is effective in treating COVID-19 patients.
Officials added the drug, normally prescribed for malaria, carries too many risks to be used for emergency use.
The authorization was first issued in March,... and was applied to patients hospitalized with the virus and in clinical trials,... before the FDA warned doctors against prescribing it a month later.
