South Korea is set to reopen its schools this coming Wednesday, May 20th, as announced last week, starting with high school seniors.
Prime Minister Chung Sye-kyun, speaking to reporters Sunday, said the new plan will go ahead, noting the delay of an extra week caused by the Itaewon cluster infection.
The spread of that cluster, he said, has been stabilized.
Under this schedule, seniors go back first on Wednesday to be followed gradually by younger students, all of whom will start by June 8th.
