South Korea will send more locally-produced COVID-19 test kits made to the United States in the coming hours.
The first such shipment follows a request from President Trump.
Two weeks ago, three test kit-makers in South Korea received interim approval from the U.S. FDA.
The U.S. Federal Emergency Management Agency signed contracts with all three of them.
One of them already shipped its products.
The other two ship the kits on Tuesday.
The quantity has not been disclosed upon an agreement between Seoul and Washington.
Reuters reports some 600-thousand kits will be sent on Tuesday night, followed by an additional 150-thousand in the near future.
